I’ll cut this if you want me to, because I don’t want it to be too like ohhhh tabloid-y… I just wanted to ask you about Cory, can I ask you about Cory?

Yeah, absolutely.

You know, like, I always feel like when you love somebody, you see them in a certain way that is maybe not always exactly… you can’t always see everything that’s happening in their life, because you just see them through love. Do you know what I mean?

Yeah, absolutely, you sort of don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors. Sometimes you choose… it’s like a choice… I like to call it, in my life, parental denial is kind of amazing? (Laughs) But that’s also like, friend denial, and uhm, we really didn’t know a lot about what was going on behind closed doors? You know that’s his thing… was his thing. And it’s… The only thing I’ll say about Cory, about the whole, like, dark side, was that he was his own worst enemy. You know, it was his internal stuff that was going on, and he never let it affect us. And he never allowed it to, because he was such a good person. So, for us, it was uhm… we didn’t really… He never let it get past a certain a line, where we would ever be able to know.

It was something he kept inside.

Yeah, there was like a certain line that like, he’d never allowed anyone to cross. At least on like, the friend side. And, he’s family, and it was such a tragedy, and such a sad sad weird time.

Was it a shock? Did you feel like everyone was surprised by it?

Oh yeah. Yeah. I mean you never… It’s not something that we ever imagined. At all.

I think sometimes you have somebody in your life, when they’re struggling and you think, not in a negative way, but “God I could imagine getting a call”. Do you know what I mean?

Yeah, yeah. I mean like, it’s like one of those things, you can imagine, but never… You would never think in a million years… “Oh that could happen to me.” Not that, but the phone call even.

Yeah, it’s something that we’re still like… work through every day with our friends. You know, it’s a certain thing that brought us closer together. And really sort of, like, gained a new perspective on things. There are friends on the show, or behind the scenes as well, that I hadn’t really spoken to, or been as close with, and after everything happened, it was like, why are we not closer, and it just brought us all together. So if anything good at all, or anything of a positive light came out of it, was like, we really band together as a family, something that bonded us for eternity, I think.

That’s… The response to that is not the phrase “that’s good”, but I mean, like you said, if there’s one positive thing that came out…

You know, Cory always says, Cory always wanted us to be happy, move on, live our lives to the fullest as he… completely did, you know. He really just had like a vivacious feel for life, and that was awesome.
